Community Programs

Community Outreach Program

It is the policy of the Mountlake Terrace Police Department, in partnership with local businesses, to put together community resource and supply bags containing food, non-food items, pamphlets/brochures with information about local shelters, housing assistance, treatment and mental health programs that will be stored in first responder vehicles.  The contents of the bags will be distributed to members of the community who are in need of such supplies and services.  Additionally, these items can be used to build rapport and/or build trust and quality relationships with citizens. Check out this video to hear a Sergeant further explain how the program works.

National Night Out

The City of Mountlake Terrace hosts National Night Out every year on the second Tuesday in August. Coordinated by City staff and volunteers, and fully funded by local donations, this multi-award winning event is completely free to the public. National Night Out was back on for 2022. It was on Tuesday, August 2nd from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Evergreen Playfield 22205 56th Ave W in Mountlake Terrace, and we had a great turn out. Thanks all our sponsors, vendors, volunteers and City Staff for a great event! See you next year on Tuesday, August 1st.
