The city's employment target for the year 2025 is 8,059 jobs and the target for 2035 is 9,486 jobs.
Premera Blue Cross
The single largest employer in the City is Premera Blue Cross of Washington and Alaska, a health care insurance organization with approximately 2,600 employees at their Mountlake Terrace campus.
Gateway Place is a 22-acre site, adjacent to Interstate 5, developed as a commercial/business park. Cinebarre, a movie theater that offers restaurant operations along with first run films is located here. Other businesses include Gene Juarez Academy & Salon, Mazatlan Restaurant, Studio 6 (a 119-unit hotel), Cinebarre Movie Theatre, and a medical clinic.
The Redstone Corporate Center II
The Redstone Corporate Center II, also located near the Interstate 5 corridor at 220th Street SW, was developed in 1999 as a Class A office building. The 7-story, 120,000 square foot building with underground parking houses several businesses including the City of Mountlake Terrace (Interim City Hall).
