Working toward a revitalization of its downtown area, the city is implementing its Town Center Plan. Prime Location & Transportation
Located in south Snohomish County, just 14 miles north of downtown Seattle, Mountlake Terrace is a city on the move. Adjacent to major transportation corridors, I-5 and nearby I-405, Mountlake Terrace provides convenient access to Seattle, Everett and Bellevue. The new Mountlake Terrace Transit Center provides parking for about 900 vehicles and easy access to I-5. The Mountlake Terrace Freeway Station provides express bus service from I-5 between Seattle and Everett. Sea-Tac International Airport is less than 30 miles away.

About one-quarter of the City's workforce holds a Bachelor's Degree or higher. As part of the Edmonds School District, Mountlake Terrace schools provide a balance of quality education, sports programs, and cultural arts.
